DIABEETUS

O joy! O rapture! I just got my lab results back from my new doc, and my blood glucose levels are insane... the HGB A1C is 9.2% where the healthy number is 4.2-5.7%, and the serum glucose is 231 mg/dL where the healthy range is 65-99 mg/dL. I don't know if that means I have diabetes or am in imminent danger of diabetes, I have to talk to the doc next week, but it is a nasty shock. Plus my triglycerides are up in the stratosphere, too (438 mg/dL, should be under 149), my HDL cholesterol (the 'good' kind) is too low though my LDL cholesterol is just fine. And the rest of my bloodwork came back just fine, so the liver and kidneys and thyroids and whatnot are doing their job. But jeebus fux, I don't need another condition to manage, I have enough already.
